Jennifer has proven herself to be a fighter and a survivor in more ways than one. She suffers from cancer of the lymph nodes, and when she met Habitat Trinidad and Tobago she was struggling to make every penny count as she paid her rent and tried to afford food. She is thankful to be a member of the Cancer Clinic which provides her medication.
Jennifer’s greatest desire is to own her home and to leave a legacy behind for her 25-year-old son, who has stood by her through chemotherapy and all that she has endured. Habitat and Republic Bank stepped in to realize Jennifer’s dream. Jennifer and her son have received a new steel frame house, that she herself built with the help of Habitat local and international volunteers!
